ArgenTech Delivers Rapid Drone Spraying Solution for Christmas Tree Grower

UAS application treats 98.5 acres after wet conditions restrict traditional ground equipment

AMITY, OR – ArgenTech Solutions recently demonstrated the speed and practical value of drone-based agricultural spraying when persistent wet conditions prevented conventional ground equipment from accessing a Christmas tree farm.

After several days of rain left the ground too wet for tractors, the grower was facing an estimated two weeks of hand-spraying to manage pests. ArgenTech received the call Sunday night, mapped the site Monday, and began a high-volume insecticide application Tuesday morning.

Over the next two days, the ArgenTech team treated 98.5 acres in approximately 12 hours of working time, including setup, resupply, and repositioning.

The project highlights the value of drone-based application when field conditions make access difficult for tractors and other ground equipment. By mobilizing quickly and operating without requiring conventional vehicle access across the property, ArgenTech provided the grower with a fast and practical response to a time-sensitive agricultural challenge.

For agricultural operators, challenging terrain and weather-related access constraints can significantly complicate spraying operations. This project demonstrates how unmanned aircraft can provide growers with an effective alternative when traditional application methods are constrained.
