Vancouver, WA – Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department (DOD)
Agency, has awarded Marcel Piet, President, UAS Services of Argen Tech Solutions, Inc. the Above and Beyond Award to recognize an employer who has gone above and beyond the legal requirements of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) to support their Guard and Reserve employees.
The Above and Beyond Award honors CEOs, presidents, and supervisors who provide support to their Guard and Reserve employees in the workplace. “This award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees who like the citizen warriors before them have answered their nations call to serve. Supportive employers, like ArgenTech, are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s Guard and Reserve units.” – stated Joel F. Scott, Employer Support Outreach Director, Washington State.
Marcel Piet was nominated by CPT Jay Lorentz, a member of 364th HHC Civil Affairs BDE –in Clackamas, OR. CPT Lorentz has previously nominated Marcel for the Patriot Award. Additionally, ArgenTech Solutions has received a Patriot Award from another service member in 2014. It bears repeating that there are 8 Navy, 2 Army and 1 Air Force reservists that work for AgTS. Marcel is a retired Navy veteran. Further, the corporation is a veteran-owned business that is headquartered in New Hampshire. The company specializes in providing experienced and highly trained technicians in Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). AgTS currently has 65 trained technicians in their company.
Coincidentally, at the time of the Above and Beyond Award presentation, the CEO of ArgenTech Solutions, Mr. Keith Haney, and military veteran, was at the Vancouver, WA office. He was very impressed by the awards that have been presented and commented that the company is always looking for more Guard and Reserve employees like CPT Lorentz. In our conversations it was pointed out that AgTS gives bonuses to their employees that bring additional qualified technicians into the company. They said, “send us more Guard and Reserve candidates for use to consider.” Both Mr. Haney and Mr. Piet are totally committed leaders who are 100% in support of our Guard and Reserve. It must be noted that ArgenTech Solutions has been nominated by the State of Washington for consideration as a recipient of the prestigious Freedom Award this year.
